Arizona Biking Trails

The South Mountain Trails is located in Phoenix´s South Mountain Park and is one of the largest municipal park in the world.South Mountain itself stretches several miles along the wouthermost reaches of the city and separates new housing developments. The trail covers 16,500 acres and is a winding singletrack.  It is a long and moderately challenging ride which many people enjoy.

Dynamite Loop is a fine section of Sonoran, granite boulder-studded dsert with many singletrack and double track trails.  The tread is 3.4 miles of single track; 8.9 miles of double track.  It is located in Scottsdale at the intersection of Pima and Dynamite Roads.There is a real urban feel in this area.

The Charles M. Christiansen Memorial Trail 100 is located in the North Mountain Preserve and is a very popular destination for bikers, hikers and equestrians from all across the valley.It is nestled right in the heart of Phoenix and is surrounded by neighborhoods.There are at least five trailheads and the trail surface is singletrack.

But if you want to get away and go on a wonderful day trip to Sedona, The Teacup Trail to the Cockscomb is a trail that tourists often get a chance to see.Views are of the Red Rock Secret Mountain Wilderness and the Cockscomb Creek Road.The rock formations in this part of town become progressively less red as you head west toward the Cockscomb.The plant life here is wonderful and the air feels so fresh and cool.
